Registering via the mynexuzhealth app

Help avoid over-crowding in the reception hall: register via the mynexuzhealth app as soon as you're near the hospital. 

Afer registering you can go directly to the waiting area of your consultation. You won't have to go past the registration kiosks or the staff at the registration desk.

You can register for most standard consultations using the app. If you are being admitted, need an IV, or require a wristband with your identification details, then you must register at the desk. Please ensure that the registration is successfully completed so that the department expects your arrival.

At home, in advance

Install and register the mynexuzhealth app so that you can register yourself.

Do you need help?

  • Follow the instructions on the website (starting with mynexuzhealth - installation and use)

  • Mynexuzhealth helpdesk: 016 39 38 65 - weekdays between 08:00 and 17:00

  • On the day of your appointment you can approach an employee of the mynexuzhealth info booth or the registrations department in the reception hall on the Gasthuisberg campus (Toegang Oost). There you will be assisted and registered immediately via the app.

On the day of your appointment

Come to the hospital. As soon as you are in the vicinity of the hospital, you can register using the app.

Registering via the app

Please note: when you are given a wristband, such as on the oncology outpatient ward, you will not be able to register via the app. 

  • Make sure you have a good connection (4G or wifi). In the hospital, you can use the UZ Leuven guest wifi network (UZLeuven gast)
  • Turn on the location setttings of your smartphone.
  • Once you're within a 500-metre radius of the campus, you will be able to register.
  • Open the mynexuzhealth app and log on with your chosen pin code.
  • Click on the appointment you want to register for. If your location settings are turned on and you're near the hospital, there will be a 'register' button for the appointment.
  • Click on the 'register' button and go through all the screens (info about your GP, the payment conditions, the option to show your picture on the screens in the waiting area, etc.) 
  • As soon as your registration is complete, you can directly proceed to your appointment. The appointment in the app will now also show
    • a road description to your appointment in the hospital 
    • your ticket number
    • your QR code
    • you can also validate your parking ticket with the app.

Registration via the app (or info booth) is not possible when:

  • you have a billing address.
  • you do not agree with the payment terms.
  • you have other non-ambulatory appointments.
  • your general practitioner is not listed. You can fix this yourself in mynexuzhealth under 'access'.
  • there is no health insurance listed in your medical record.
  • you have an active work accident insurance.
  • it is explicitly indicated that you must go through the welcome desk.

Do you need help?

  • On the day of your appointment you can go to an employee of the mynexuzhealth info booth or the registrations department in the reception hall on the Gasthuisberg campus. You will be assisted here and registered immediately via the app. 

    This will enable you to register yourself next time. 

Children

Follow the steps above to register your child via the app. 

Please note: you first have to link your child's record to your own medical record.
