Coronary angiography: X-ray examination of the coronary arteries

A coronary angiography is an X-ray examination used to visualise the coronary arteries (the arteries supplying oxygen to the heart) with the help of a contrast agent. The purpose of the coronary angiography is to check for any narrowing or blockages in the coronary arteries.
