The general medical oncology department has a long tradition of expertise in areas such as:

  • Breast cancer
  • Genitourinary cancers (kidney, bladder, prostate, penis, and testicular cancer)
  • Soft tissue and bone sarcomas (including gastrointestinal stromal tumours, Ewing family tumours, and osteosarcomas)
  • Head and neck cancers
  • Melanomas and other non-melanoma skin tumours
  • Primary brain tumours
  • Endocrine and neuroendocrine tumours (thyroid, adrenal, others)
  • Cancers of unknown origin and rare tumours
  • Lymphomas (Non-Hodgkin lymphomas and Hodgkin's disease)
  • Thymomas
  • Systemic diseases (e.g., Langerhans)

The department guarantees evidence-based treatment outside of clinical studies and offers a wide variety of experimental treatments.
