  • Detects irregularities in heart rhythm.
  • Helps identify arrhythmias.

Device with adhesive electrodes

The Holter is a compact device that records the heart’s electrical activity. It is connected by wires to adhesive electrodes placed on your chest.

While wearing the Holter, you continue your usual daily activities. You will keep a diary of your activities so the doctor can link specific events to any irregularities recorded by the device. You should also note the times when you experience symptoms.
