Rooming-in with a patient

If your child is admitted to a paediatric nursing unit, the rooming-in of either parent is always possible. In some situations, rooming-in with an adult patient is also possible. UZ Leuven also offers some lodging options in and close to the hospital. See all the possibilities here.

In children

In your child's room

As a parent, you can stay overnight in your child's room in most cases. This is called rooming-in.

In a room at the hospital

Relatives of hospitalised patients can stay in one of the rooms at the hospital's family residence.

In adults

At a hotel in Leuven

For anyone wishing to stay near the hospital, UZ Leuven and The Lodge-group offer rooms at a preferential rate.

In the patient's room

In some situations, lodging in an adult patient's room is possible. This depends on the ward and the specific situation.
