You can book a sports medical consultation without a referral. Please bring any relevant documents (reports, medical imaging, etc.) to your appointment.
What can you visit us for?
During a sports medical consultation, you can receive:
- diagnosis and treatment of acute (e.g. sports trauma) or chronic (e.g. overuse) physical complaints and injuries. After a thorough evaluation and diagnosis, an individual treatment plan is created based on the latest scientific insights.
- personalised guidance for (re)starting a sport and expert advice on injury prevention while achieving your sports goals.

Sports medical consultations take place at the university sports centre in the SMAC and at the Pellenberg campus.

Sports medical advisory centre (SMAC)
During the sports medical consultation at the SMAC, we primarily focus on:
- Basic evaluation of common injuries
- Advice on returning to sport
- Requesting sports-specific physiotherapy guidance from specialised physiotherapists
