What does the PST do?
The Palliative Support Team (PST) provides assistance and support in cases of serious illness or end-of-life and offers advice on palliative care and advance care planning to the treating teams at UZ Leuven, to optimise care for patients with an incurable illness.

- Advising the care team on comfort care
- Discussing which therapies are still possible, meaningful, or desired, "what would my wishes be if my illness were to become incurable?", providing guidance on end-of-life decisions
- Organising care during the palliative phase
