Welcome to our ward
You have been admitted to the haematology service. This service comprises several wards. Hospitalisatie 44 and hospitalisatie 20 are the two hospitalisation wards. Hospitalisatie 44 is a general ward, hospitalisatie 20 is an isolation ward. There is also a ward for day admission: dagziekenhuis 6. The doctors decide on the ward where you should be treated.

Rooms and sanitary facilities
Hospitalisatie 44 boasts 26 rooms, including 24 single rooms. You can request a private room subject to a certain surcharge. Read more about room selection.
Patients who need a single room for medical reasons are given priority.
All rooms have an individual bathroom with shower. Exercise bikes are available for you in the corridor. If necessary, we will place an exercise bike in your room.

Visiting hours

Visits are possible every day at set times:
- Weekdays: from 16:00 to 20:00
- Weekends: from 14:00 to 20:00

Come with a maximum of 2 visitors at a time. Minor children belonging to the patient's family do not count towards this number.

Limit your visit to 2 hours.

Avoid visiting when you yourself are sick.

In a double room, both patients may receive visitors at the same time. Make arrangements with each other to avoid large crowds in the room.

Patients may designate a ‘partner in care’ who may also attend during the day outside visiting hours.
Regular short visits are often more appreciated than prolonged visits.
During patient care or doctor's visits, we kindly ask you to leave the room.
We may end or limit the visit if we sense that it is too tiring for the patient.

Are you worried about your illness, family, work or financial situation? You and your family members can come to the social worker for a confidential discussion.
Together with you, the social worker will look for solutions and give advice on social services to which you are entitled or refer you to external services.
